Privacy policy

• Your mobile number, if you sign in with a phone number. We send a one-time code to it to confirm the number is yours.
• Your email address and password, if you sign in with email. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
• Your name, city, date of birth and school or college, from your profile. All of these are optional except your name.
• Health notes you choose to write for your teacher — for example a sore back or a recent injury. This is sensitive information and you never have to provide it.
• Any message you send us by email or phone.

• Which classes you have enrolled in, and whether the enrolment is pending, confirmed or cancelled.
• Payment records for paid classes: the amount, the date, and the reference numbers returned by our payment provider. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
• Certificates issued to you by your teacher, including your name as it appears on them.
• A notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you about class reminders and announcements. You can switch this off in your device settings at any time.
• Basic technical records such as the date you signed in, kept so accounts stay secure.

We use your information only to run the classes you signed up for:

• To create your account and let you sign in.
• To enrol you in classes, keep track of seats, and take payment where a class has a fee.
• To let your teacher prepare for you safely — this is the only reason health notes exist.
• To issue and deliver your certificates.
• To send you reminders and announcements about your classes.
• To answer you when you contact us, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not use it for advertising.

• You, in the app.
• The teacher of a class you have joined, and the studio administrator — they see your name, contact details, health notes and enrolment status. Teachers only see students in their own classes.
• Google Firebase, which hosts our database, sign-in and notifications; and Vercel, which hosts the website. They process data on our instructions.
• Razorpay, our payment provider, which handles the payment itself and holds the card or UPI details we never receive.
• Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as a court or a tax authority.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside India. They are bound by contract to protect it to the standard described here.

Children attend our classes, and a parent or guardian should set up and look after the account of anyone under 18. We only collect what is listed above, and we do not show advertising or use the app to profile anyone. If you believe a child has an account you did not agree to, write to us and we will remove it.

We keep your profile and enrolment records for as long as your account exists. Payment records are kept for eight years, because Indian tax law requires it. Everything else is deleted when you delete your account.

You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app: open Profile and choose Delete my account. This permanently removes your profile, your health notes, your enrolments, your certificates and your sign-in — immediately, and without asking us.

Payment records are the one exception: we must keep the amount, date and reference number for the period the law requires, and they are no longer linked to a usable account.

If you would rather we did it for you, email meghanabonumanthi@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will delete it within 30 days.

You can ask us to show you the information we hold, correct anything that is wrong, or stop sending you notifications. Most of this you can do yourself in the app; for the rest, write to us and we will reply within 30 days.

Traffic between your device and us is encrypted. Access to the database is restricted by rules that stop one student reading another student's records, and only administrators and the teacher of your class can see your details. No system is perfect, but if a breach ever affects you we will tell you.

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.
